My Fascinating Experience in Goa, India as an American Woman

An American Woman in Goa, India

There’s just something about India that drew me in, the colors, the way the women wear their jewelry, the saris, how they dance, and it could have been the glamour and mystery of the Hindu religion. I always had India as a place I wanted to visit, and I very much admired the people of India. India is a country unlike any other. I feel lucky to have visited there, and to have visited with someone that was a local. I saw India for all it’s beauty and for all it’s prejudices. Here’s what it’s like for an American woman in Goa, India.

A Weekend in Cardiff, Wales

Visiting Cardiff, Wales!

I know it is the goal of many people to visit London, England one day. It’s sort of like the goal to one day visit NYC. You MUST go to NYC when you’re in the States, right? But there are more places in the USA than just New York City. As poor as an analogy as that is I felt extremely lucky to cross the pond to visit London, but came back a happier person because I visited Cardiff, Wales. I got to see a different side to the UK. I was able to breathe the best fresh smelling air I ever have, and I fell in love with the beauty of everything Cardiff.

Introverts Travel with Others?

Introverts Travel with Others?

Whoa, whoa, whoa…introverts going on group trips? Yes! Yes, we do. Introverts travel with others.  I, myself identify as being an introvert and have gone on groups trips, and let me say it can be a very difficult and tiring experience. Yosemite Half Marathon: My Road Trip Adventure

Running the Yosemite Half Marathon

As an east coast gal, I was excited to run in California, I signed up for the Vacation Races Yosemite Half Marathon. I hadn’t been to California in soooo many years. We’re talking 9 years!  I managed to make this whole Yosemite Half Marathon thing a whole week trip.  I stayed in 4 different places, 3 Airbnbs, 1 hostel, and I drove around in 1 dope ass rental car.

Not All Airbnbs are Created Equal

The Airbnb Reality

Airbnb took the traveling community by storm with their cheaper prices, and their cozy digs, but not all Airbnb’s are created equal! My recent trip to California, this past May, I stayed in several Airbnb’s and each one felt so different from the last. I had all types of experiences, warm welcomes, to just feeling like I hit up my nearest motel on the highway. What makes the difference between a great Airbnb, and a “just okay” Airbnb stay?

Runners Fall – It Will Happen to You. My London Spill

Falling. It will happen

It’s pretty much the worst nightmare of a runner. Falling. It will happen. And it will happen to you! It really is the worst when you fall. It’s not even about it being embarrassing. As a runner I know my first worry is did I injure anything?! A fall means a possible injury. An injury means no running. No running for a runner makes a miserable person. Telling me I can’t run? What? No! My relationship with taking a tumble is kind of like visiting the family at holidays. I know it will occur at least once a year.
